Behavioral Technician



Job's House is hiring multiple candidates for Behavioral Technicians who are trained in CPI prevention, EUMR, FBA, PSTP. Job's House is looking for BT levels II, III AND IV staffing. The right persons' for this position will have experience working in a fast paced 2:1 or 3:1 setting such as, hospital setting, residential care facilities, school settings and more. Job's House will train the right candidates who meet these qualifications. This is a HIGH INTENSITY LEVEL of care program that includes periods of intensive interventions and involve multi disciplinary support, that requires efficiently skilled individuals who know how to analyze problematic behaviors, skilled in de-escalation, documentation and professional communications.
Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ year of experience with working individual with severe and persistent mental Illness and chronic medical conditions (preferred)
  • 2+ year experience with implementing Positive Support Strategies and/or behavior management techniques with individuals who have high behaviors (biting, hitting, kicking, spitting) (requirement)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills (requirement)
  • Ability to interpret behavioral trends
  • Experience with person-centered thinking and planning (preferred)
  • Judgment and decision-making skills to handle crisis situations and day-to-day events.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years experience with Autism
  • Ability to work in a group setting of 2:1 staff to client ratio or more
  • Ability to maintain a level of professionalism with clients and their support teams
  • Bachelors degree In Behavioral/Social Science or equivalent2 year degree/2 years behavioral health experience
  • 4 years behavioral health experience2 years Positive Support training
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy (recommended)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, weekends, Day/Evening and Overnights and on-call
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
